VanRes™ (Vandal Resistant) Protective Glass is Digital Factory's trademarked & patent-pending optically coated anti-reflective multi-layered clear glass screen covering which protects the surface of LCD or plasma displays from impacts, splashed liquid, and other hazards.

VanRes™ glass is 1/4" thick

providing maximum protection for your screen surface.

VanRes™ is formulated from

optically clear and perfectly flat “float” glass. Anti-reflective coating is applied to both sides of the glass. An additional hydrophobic coating

allows the glass to be easily cleaned.

VanRes™optical coatings feature U/V filtration which blocks 98% of harmful UV radiation. 

VanRes™ optical coatings enhance contrast and provide excellent ambient light rejection.

 

 

VanRes™ provides a transmissibility of approximately 99%.

 

Standard glass has a transmissibility factor of approximately 96%. Transmissibility is a measure of how much light (photons) pass through the glass. The higher the percentage, the better the optical quality.

VanRes™ provides a measure of protection to deter vandalism while improving optical performance.

 

VanRes™ can be broken if heavily impacted.

 

VanRes™ crumbles when broken.

A built-in clear vinyl safety film prevents shattering and dangerous shards.

VanRes™ is mounted utilizing a custom gasketed Digital Factory Slip Over Protectve Bezel which seals the display against liquid intrusion. 

Digital Factory Slip Over Protective Bezels are available in a myriad of finishes, including fingerprint smudge-resistant powdercoat, glossy automotive paint or stainless steel.

• Bezel options include flush wall mounting, full customization and complete enclosure solutions.

• Logos or company names can be laser cut or silk screened on the bezel face providing a very attractive branding opportunity.  

We recommend installing Digital Factory's Slip Over Protective Bezel and VanRes™ glass on the display prior to mounting.  With care, the Bezel and VanRes™ glass can be installed over a pre-mounted display.
